The Problem

One Topper, Five Institutes Claiming Them

Fake topper claims have become so common that one rank holder can show up on several institutes' posters, each taking full credit. Parents have no way to tell who actually helped, and the institutes that only claim what they've earned get drowned out by the loudest ones.

The Solution

Every Provider Gets Its Fair Share of Credit

Every institute that helped a student gets a score for its own part, so parents see the full picture, not just the loudest claim.

Your Part, Scored Separately

Coaching, mock tests or interview prep: each institute gets a score for its own part in the result.

Logged When Students Join

Students are added within 10 days of admission, so no one can claim a topper after the result is out.

Same Rules for Every Institute

Big or small, online or offline, every institute is scored by the same published method.

One Topper, Three Providers, Three Grades

How It Works

Six Steps to Your First Contribution Score

No institute can work out a score before it's registered and approved. It's free to start, and we guide you through every step.

1

Register

Fill in the short form with your institute's details and a contact person.

2

Learn the Rules and Sign the Agreement

Our team takes you through exactly how scores are worked out, with the dos and don'ts. You sign the Contribution Score agreement to accept them.

3

Get Approved and Get Your Dashboard

Once the agreement is signed, your institute is approved, gets its own Institute ID, and your dashboard is switched on. Scores can only be worked out from here.

4

Add Every New Student Within 10 Days

Add each student within 10 days of admission, with their course and dates. If they upgrade to another course, update it when it happens.

5

Record the Result

When results are out, add the result date and pick the selected student from your list. Students who weren't added on time can't be picked.

6

Get Your Grade, Badge and QR Code

Your dashboard works out your Contribution Score and gives you a badge with its own QR code, linked to the student's public record.

What You'll Add for Each Student

  • The student's full name, exactly as it appears in the result
  • A clear photo of the student
  • The course they enrolled in, with full course details
  • Their enrollment date and joining date
  • The date their course ends
  • Any upgrade to another course, when it happens
  • The result date and outcome, once it's declared

No contact details. You never share a student's phone number, email or address, so no student data can be linked back to them.

The 10-day rule. A student added more than 10 days after admission can't be scored, and results can only be recorded for students already on your list.

What People See When They Scan Your QR Code

Every badge carries its own QR code. Scanning it confirms the institute is registered with Contribution Score and opens a public record of the student and the course behind the result, so anyone can check the claim for themselves.

On the result poster

Every badge has its own QR code, made for one student's result.

  • One QR code for each student result, so a badge can't be reused on another poster
  • No phone number, email or address is ever shown or stored
  • The page confirms the institute is a registered Contribution Score institute, with its Institute ID
  • Anyone can report a record that looks wrong, straight from the page

Reading the Score

What Your Score Says, and What It Doesn't

Contribution Score doesn't rate how good an institute is. It shows that the results you advertise are real, and how much you contributed to them.

It shows

  • That you really did contribute to the success of the result you're showing to the public
  • How much you contributed, as a grade from A to E worked out with one published method
  • What that contribution was: the program, how it was taught and how long the student studied with you
  • That the claim is backed by records logged when the student joined, which anyone can check by scanning your QR code
  • That you chose to be open and honest about your result claims

It doesn't show

  • How good your institute is overall
  • That you'll produce similar results in future
  • A rating of any institute or any teacher
  • An endorsement of your teaching or your courses

Think of Contribution Score as an honest marketing score, not a quality score. It tells people that a result claim is real and how big a part you played in it.

Who Oversees

Overseen by Those Who Know Education Best

A panel of eminent professors, retired university deans and senior educators oversees the method, so no institute can bend the rules in its favour.

One Method for Every Institute

The panel makes sure every score follows the same published rules, with no exceptions for size or fame.

Every Report Gets Looked Into

When a student or parent reports a record from its QR page, the panel reviews it.

No Ties to Any Institute

Panel members, how they're chosen and the rules that keep them independent are all made public.

Our Standards

The Rules Behind Every Score

A score is only as good as the rules behind it. Here are ours.

Student Privacy First

We never collect a student's phone number, email or address. Only their name, photo and course details are kept, and shown with their consent.

One Score, One Result

Each score belongs to one student's result and can't be reused for any other result, ad or poster.

Logged Within 10 Days

Every student must be added within 10 days of admission. A student added late can't be used for a score.

Corrections Made Public

When a score changes in a big way, it's shown in our monthly report. Genuine errors aren't treated like false claims.

No Promises of Results

No institute may use its score to promise selection or future success.

These rules keep every score fair, for every institute and every parent.

Transparency Reports

Every Change, Reported Every Month

Each month we publish what changed: which institutes were approved, what was reported from QR pages, which institutes were suspended or removed, which scores were corrected, and why.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Contribution Score?
It's a grade from A to E, backed by a score out of 100, that shows the part an institute played in a student's result, such as a selection or clearing an exam stage. It's worked out with six published factors from the course and dates the institute logged when the student joined. Think of it as an honest marketing score, not a quality rating.
Can we work out our score before registering?
No. Scores can only be worked out from your dashboard, which you get after you register, sign the agreement and are approved.
How do we get approved?
After you register, our team takes you through how scoring works and the dos and don'ts. Once you sign the Contribution Score agreement, your institute is approved and your dashboard is switched on.
What do we add for each student?
The student's full name exactly as it appears in the result, a photo, the course they enrolled in with full details, their enrollment and joining dates, and the date the course ends. If they upgrade to another course, you update it. When results are out, you add the result date and outcome. You never add a phone number, email or address.
What if we didn't add a student within 10 days?
That student can't be scored. Results can only be recorded for students already on your list, and that's what stops anyone claiming a topper after the result is out.
What happens when someone scans our QR code?
They see a public record with the student's name and photo, the course they enrolled in, their enrollment and joining dates, any course upgrade, the course completion date, the result date and your grade, along with how it was worked out. It also confirms the institute is registered with Contribution Score and shows its Institute ID. See a demo.
How can I check whether an institute is registered?
Every registered institute has an Institute ID. Enter it on our Check an Institute page to see the institute's name, when it joined, its status, how many results it has recorded and its grade mix. If an ID isn't found, the badge isn't genuine.
Can a student or parent report a record?
Yes. Every QR page has a Report button that opens our report form. Reports go to the independent panel. If a concern is upheld, the record is corrected or removed, and it's listed in our monthly report. Institutes always get a chance to respond. See how reviews work.
Does a higher grade mean a better institute?
No. A higher grade means you gave broader, longer or more recent support for that result. It doesn't rate your teaching or promise future results.
Can more than one institute get a score for the same student?
Yes. If a coaching institute, a test series and an interview mentor all helped the same student, each one gets a score for its own part.
Will a short course or mock interview get a low score?
It will score fewer marks on time-based factors, but no marks are ever deducted for being short. There's no bad grade here: every score shows a real part in a student's success.
Who is on the panel?
The panel is made up of eminent professors, retired university deans and senior educators. Their names, how they're appointed and the rules that keep them independent are published on our Panel.
Is registration free?
Yes. Registering, getting approved and using the dashboard are all free.
Does a Contribution Score help us follow the CCPA coaching guidelines?
It can help. Your QR record lists the course, the enrollment date and how long the student studied, which are details the CCPA guidelines expect in result ads. It doesn't make an ad compliant on its own, so check the full guidelines before publishing.
Can we show a student's name and photo?
Only with the student's consent. Their name and photo appear on the public QR record, so get their consent before adding them, and never use a student's name, photo or words in a way that misrepresents their experience.
