01Who We Are
Contribution Score is an initiative of Arcaptor Technologies Private Limited, a company registered in India (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our registered office is at Devkinandan Sharma Mohalla, Tapukara, Khairthal Tijara, Rajasthan 301707.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Contribution Score website, the institute dashboard, the public QR records and the institute lookup, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, along with the Information Technology Act, 2000.
02What We Collect
From institutes
- Institute details: name, type of institution, how it's registered, GSTIN or registration number, city and state, website or social media link, and learning modes offered.
- Contact person details: full name, designation, mobile number and email.
- Account and agreement records: sign-in details, the signed Contribution Score agreement, and a log of changes made in the dashboard.
About students, added by institutes
- The student's full name, exactly as it appears in the result, and a photo.
- The course they enrolled in, with course details, and their enrollment date, joining date, course end date and any course upgrade.
- The result date and outcome, once it's declared.
From visitors
- If you report a record: your name, mobile number, how you’re connected to the student, your description of the concern and any evidence you upload, plus your email and city if you give them. We use these only to look into the report and contact you about it, and we never share who you are with the institute.
- Basic technical data, such as IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit, which we use to keep the site secure and working.
03How We Use It
- To review registrations, explain the scoring rules, record the signed agreement and approve institutes.
- To run the institute dashboard, including enforcing the 10-day rule for adding students.
- To work out Contribution Grades using our published method.
- To create each badge, its QR code and the public record it opens.
- To show institute details in the institute lookup.
- To look into reports, correct records and publish our monthly transparency report.
- To contact an institute's contact person about their account, the rules or a report.
- To keep the service secure, prevent misuse and meet our legal obligations.
We don’t use anyone’s personal data for advertising, and we don’t build profiles of students.
04What Is Shown Publicly
Contribution Score exists so that result claims can be checked. That means some information is public by design. The table below shows what is public and what stays private.
| Information | Who provides it | Shown publicly? |
|---|---|---|
| Institute name, type, city, website | The institute | Yes |
| Institute ID, registration date, status, results recorded, grade mix | Created by us | Yes |
| GSTIN or registration number | The institute | No |
| Contact person's name, designation, mobile and email | The institute | No |
| Student's name and photo | The institute, with the student's consent | Yes, on that student's QR record |
| Course, enrollment, joining, upgrade and completion dates | The institute | Yes, on that student's QR record |
| Result date, outcome and Contribution Grade | The institute, and worked out by us | Yes, on that student's QR record |
| Details in a report you submit | You | No |
| Device and usage data (IP address, browser, pages visited) | Collected automatically | No |
A student’s QR record can be opened by anyone who scans that badge’s QR code or follows its link. Monthly transparency reports name institutes that were approved, suspended or removed, but never name students.
05Student Consent
A student’s name and photo appear on a public record, so an institute must get the student’s clear consent before adding them to its dashboard. For a student under 18, the institute must get consent from a parent or legal guardian. Institutes agree to this in the Contribution Score agreement, and must be able to show us the consent if asked.
A student who didn’t give consent, or who wants to withdraw it, can write to us at Privacy@contributionscore.in. We’ll remove their name and photo from the public record and let the institute know.
07How Long We Keep It
- Institute and contact person details are kept while the institute is registered, and for 2 years after it leaves, so we can answer questions about past records.
- A student's record is kept while the result is being advertised, and for 3 years after that, unless the student asks for it to be removed sooner.
- Reports and their outcomes are kept for 5 years so that patterns of misuse can be spotted.
- Technical logs are kept for 10 days, unless we need them longer to look into a security problem.
When we no longer need data, we delete it or make it anonymous.
08How We Keep It Safe
We use encryption for data in transit, access controls so that only authorised people can see private data, and logs of who changed what in each dashboard. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal data, we’ll tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
09Your Rights
Whether you’re a student, a contact person or a visitor, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
- Remove your data, where we don't need to keep it for a legal reason.
- Withdraw consent you've given.
- Name someone to act for you if you're unable to.
Write to us at Privacy@contributionscore.in. We’ll reply within 5 days. If you’re not happy with our reply, you can contact our Grievance Officer, and after that, the Data Protection Board of India.
10Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed to run the site, such as keeping an institute signed in to its dashboard. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
11Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how student data is shown in public, we’ll tell registered institutes before it takes effect, and list it in our monthly transparency report.
